Cash advances could be answer to credit card slump
(25 November 2005)

This year will see Brits' lowest December credit card spend for a decade as people become savvy to the risks of paying back incurred debts over time though a payday loan, straightforward to pay back, would not need to play on your mind.

UK payments association Apacs says that we will spend over £400 million less using credit cards this December than during the same month of 2004, with only the area of online shopping seeing their popularity increase.

Debit cards, conversely, are seeing a universal increase in popularity and will be the driving force behind a total 9.9 per cent year-on-year increase in plastic spending next month.

Sandra Quinn, Apacs director of communications, said: Debit cards are increasingly replacing cash and chequesThis trend has definitely been helped by chip and PIN which has made paying with plastic faster and safer, so we're more likely to whip out the plastic for small value transactions.

If you're not content to wield the plastic and see your interest payments increase exponentially with your debts, a short term loan will provide a simply and trouble-free alternative.
