Online Christmas shoppers can benefit from payday advance
(10 November 2005)
Most British shoppers will be carrying out their festive purchases online this year, according to a new survey and taking out a payday advance could help you to secure that last crucial gift before you log off.
Research firm Global Market Insite (GMI) claims that over two-thirds of UK customers will make a beeline for the web as their first port of call for possible presents ahead of trips out to speciality department stores.
This eclipses every other surveyed nation - with a relatively small 46 per cent of Americans preferring to buy gifts via this method and Europeans in countries like Denmark, Italy and Spain stating a clear preference for the high street.
Dietmar Walter, European managing director at GMI, said: "Our poll confirms that online shopping for the Brits, like many other consumers in the world, has become a quicker and more convenient alternative to facing crowds on the high street at this busy time of year."
The survey also showed that two per cent of Brits enjoy living on the brink of being reviled by their family and friends over Christmas choosing to buy their presents on Christmas Eve. Furthermore, 48 per cent will not buy anything before December.
Whether you plan to leave things until the last minute or not this Christmas, a short term loan could make all the difference in helping to round off your purchases satisfactorily.
